YUAN Jiajun, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and governor of Zhejiang Province, attended Hangzhou Zhejiang Businessmen New Year Symposium on 25th February, sending new year regards to Zhejiang businessmen all over the world. The event was hosted by XIONG Jianping, member of Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and director of the United Front Work Department. LU Weiding, Jack MA and other entrepreneurs took part in the event and made speeches.
LU Weiding made a brief report to provincial and municipal leaders present. In 2017 the group had a stable growth, making major achievements in three aspects: Karma automobile, battery and Wanxiang Innovation & Energy-Gathering City. When talking about the future, LU Weiding said that Wanxiang’s clean energy smart car should be transportation system, city system and smart service system and will be connected with all things. Based on battery industry, we will finally achieve the ultimate goal of establishing a global energy system starting from start-stop, power to energy storage. He mentioned the encouraging news was that the provincial Party committee and provincial government have released the planning of Greater Bay Area lately, which will lead Wanxiang to accelerate the planning, investment and construction of Innovation & Energy-Gathering City to achieve the goal of “ten-fold business volume in the next 10 years”.
On the basis of the study of XI Jinping’s the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Age and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, LU Weiding also put forward his own opinions on how to guide entrepreneurs to develop appropriate view of wealth, outlook of the future, and comprehensive outlook, how to gather high-end talents, and how to make full use of the economic gathering function of Zhejiang industrial economy.
YUAN Jiajun expressed his gratitude to the contribution all Zhejiang merchants have made at the event, and he pointed out that new development is guided by new thoughts and new opportunities are contained in new spirit. What makes the 19th CPC National Congress epoch-making is the spirit shift from passivity to initiative. We should further study XI Jinping’s the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Age in a thorough way to truly understand what “4 consciousness” and “4 confidence” are and know that knowledge and action should be unified. Be clearer in mind, more explicit in theory, steadier in politics, firmer in target, more distinctive in route, and more self-conscious in action to make our province more prosperous and our people wealthier. He emphasized that Zhejiang businessmen are not only the core competitiveness but also the motor for the economic and social development of the province. All Zhejiang businessmen should unite in a concerted effort to undertake the mission of quality development, competitiveness improvement and modernization construction in new age. Taking innovation as the first drive and talents as the core element, we should deepen the implementation of national strategic initiatives including further developing self-dependent innovation demonstration zone, pilot free trade zone, etc. Planning the implementation of the Long Project Program of the province, cities and counties together, the Zhejiang businessmen should actively take part in the construction of Greater Bay Area, Big Garden, Big Passage, metropolitan area and emerging financial center, so as to jointly build and share poetic Zhejiang and write down the new chapters of “8 & 8 strategies” and “2 high levels”.
